Meals
& Snacks
The school makes every effort to work with the parents to
ensure the nutritional needs of individual children are supported. Children are encouraged to try a variety of
fruits, vegetables and low sugar carbohydrates. The children often help to prepare the snacks as an integral part
of our curriculum.
- Children may bring
and eat breakfast and will be supervised 7:30 and 8:30.
- Healthy snacks and
drinks are provided mid-morning and mid-afternoon.
- We offer milk at
least once per day and substitute rice or soy milk for children with milk
allergies.
- Food
Allergies & Special dietary needs and practices are accommodated where
possible. St. Stephens is totally NUT FREE school – Foods containing nuts
or nut products may not be brought or consumed on the premises. Peanut
Butter & Jelly, Granola, Breakfast Bars or Dunkin Donut products are
included in this NUT FREE policy.
Each day
children should bring a packed lunch, which will be eaten between 11:30 AM
& 12:30 PM. Please no candy in the
lunchbox. We serve water at lunch
because children with juice boxes often do not eat their food.
